Mick didn't have the run he deserved, better luck next time

The weekend started off in the best of ways with Mick and Tracey getting excellent qualifying results. Tracey came down in 5th in dry conditions proving that she has really well recovered from her recent injuries. Mick did a nearly perfect run scoring the fastest times on the 2 first splits and then only loosing the first spot by 0.1 behind Gee Atherton after making a small mistake on the last section. Fabien had a clean run and clocked a reasonable 65th place.
Guillaume was not so lucky with his qualifying run. He punctured his front wheel in one of the vicious rock gardens at the middle of the course and although desperately trying to get to the finish line in time, he crashed twice on the bottom part and didn’t make it for Sunday finals. …View More

It's f@#ken Jesse Beare !!!!!!!!

Whilst everyone else saw a dumbed down track, Steve Smith saw opportunity. Today that optimistic view yielded a number one seed. Whilst Smith looks all set to take his World Cup win, those who have seeded in behind can only be described as the hungriest of the hungry. Danny Hart is little over a second down whilst, Sam Blenkinsop and Aaron Gwin are well within range in 3rd and 4th. Mr all too consistent Gregg Minnaar slots into 5th whilst all round Aussie good guy Sam Hill is in 6th. All up finals are set to go off! …View More

ON THE HUNT! It's already been said that Sam Hill is back many times this year, so lets hope the podium spot sticks

Five weeks of home time and continued focus before flying over to Andorra appears to have done the man that is forever ‘on the hunt’ a world of good. Sam Hill flies into the top seeding spot by the skin of his teeth with just 0.046 separating himself and Greg Minnar. World Cup leader Gee Atherton lies little more than a second behind them showing times are incredibly tight in the upper echelons. Big surprises are in fourth and fifth with Loic Bruni and Remi Thirion looking to break into the top five.
Major congratulations has to go to Dave McMillan who cracked into the top 80 with a 74th on a conservative run. That position is only set to go higher when he unleashes in the finals.
In the Womens Manon Carpenter put a clear three plus seconds into series and race winner of every round so far Rachel Atherton. Could there be a upset for the queen of downhill? Emmeline Ragot took third, five seconds back whilst Morganne Charre in fourth blew out to seventeen seconds. It appears to be a race entirely within the top three. …View More
