Sam Payet is just one of the current crop of fast downhill and enduro riders on the come up in Western Australia. He’s a regular podium attendee and has some wicked style on the bike but that’s not a lot to go on so we thought we’d sit down and ask him a few questions.

What bikes are you currently riding?
For downhill I’m on a Morewood Makulu which I’ve had for about 6 months now, the suspension is pretty active so its tracks really well and its super fun on rougher tracks. I’ve also been riding Morewoods Sukuma out on the trails and some of the more tame downhill tracks over here, it’s a pretty playful bike and is perfect for a mid-week shred on the trails.

Do you enduro?
I mountainbike does that count?

Who do you think is going to surprise us on the race scene this year?
There’s few guys that have come over from motocross who are getting pretty quick, at the same time some of the other regulars have been training really hard so I think instead of any standout performances we can expect a pretty tight top 5 with most guys looking to push up the ranks. …View More

MOREWOOD NOW AVAILABLE THROUGH PUSHIE

It’s official Pushie Enterprises are now the distributors of Morewood Bikes in Australia, we’re excited and can’t wait to sample some Morewood goodness, especially that Zula. Anyway here is the official line from Pushie :

“It is with great pleasure to announce that Morewood Bikes have agreed to partner
with Pushie Enterprises to further expand Morewood brand presence on Australian and New Zealand trails.

Our focus will initially be on the new Split Pivot Sukuma and 650B version of the Zula with a demo range soon to be available to support our premium dealers. The gravity range with the award winning Makulu and Kalula, along with the Izimu, new Split Pivot Jabula, will become available after the second quarter of 2013 or as demand dictates.

GET BETTER SOON TRACEY! UNITED RIDE IN VAL D’ISERE

Tracey crashed during a practice run at Val D’isere world cup and broke her femur and collarbone. She’s been airlifted to the hospital to get leg surgery.
Mick had an very good run and after an exciting race he ended up at the 6th position! Pretty good considering what happened!

Tracey is now doing a lot better and she is improving everyday infact she is already focused on 2013. Tracey is really thankfull for all the support both from the immediate racing field and from home and abroad”.
