With all but one of the SRAM Inside Line SA Downhill Series over, the Adelaide Commencal Racing team packed up and headed down to Willunga for the final round of the Series. After a super consistent season so far, Steve was sitting on top of the leader board with Cycleworx Santa Cruz’s Ngari Jenkins not far behind in the points.
The track that has been raced at Willunga in recent years has been a favorite for many riders in the past, but this year the course was a re-hash of one raced in the late nineties. Few guys had raced this line down the hill, and those that had barely remembered it. There really isn’t a better way to level the playing field for such a close final than to race a new track that nobody has practiced in the leading weeks!
