Sunday was Round 2 of the Queensland Sunshine Series and leading up to the race about a weeks worth of rain had fallen in 4 days, which kept expectations low for the race. Glad we all were though as the rain only made it that much more fun! The track was hard packed at the bottom slippery in the middle and tacky at the top. Perfect! Lucky for the riders the rain held off once the riding had begun and the sun even made a bit of an appearance towards the end of the day. An awesome day all round! Big thanks to Ashgrove Cycles for providing quick servicing and vital parts before the race, Beerwah lions for supplying food on the day for those exhausted riders, to all the marshals and safety services, and to all the riders on the day! Thanks.
